Brontë Gross is a junior at Northland College and is working on completing a degree in both Writing and Outdoor Education. During a gap year before college he fell in love with both writing and the world, travelling across Europe by bike and train and sending home emails to his parents and friends. Since, he has won the runner up to the Barbara Bretting Fiction contest, and first place in the Nonfiction contest, as well as having been selected to read in the last two WritersRead contests (2015-2016). Beyond his writing life, Brontë is an avid sailor and outdoor enthusiast. During the summer he lives on his family's boat in Bayfield and teaches sailing to kids on the Chequamegon Bay.
